
Just trialling an image for one of my portraiture series. I kinda like it, but I think I've used 'NA.than' as a model too much for portraiture as it is. Plus I shot it at ISO 1600 as well, what a nong....
It's a loose concept at this stage, all I really want to do is create disturbing portraits instead of going for the natural approach. We're all a bit strange, inside and out.
Wide angle lenses up close to create a bit of distortion, bit of liquify on already strange faces, using different blend modes n stuff to pick out imperfections of peoples faces. I'm using a ringflash because I find it is a very unnatural light source too (it's also ironic when you consider that for most purposes it's used in fashion/beauty).
